Judging Criteria
Models will be judged by a pre-picked panel of judges. Votes will be taken during Free Comic Book Day from patrons, but this votes will not count towards the overall winner - they will only count towards bragging rights as the most popular model kit of Free Comic Book Day 2019.
Judges will be using the following criteria for judging individual models:
Construction - 10 points
This category will take into account how well the model was built, from general construction, nub marks, seam lines and everything in between. The more effort you put into putting the model together and getting rid of evidence of its construction, the better your score will be.
Finish - 10 points
This category will take into account how the finished model looks. You’ll lose points based on is there are still visible scratches from sanding, uneven topcoats, chipping paint, decal placement and blending, and more.
Technical/Modifications - 3 points
This category will take into account kitbashing, added LEDs, weathering or battle damage, any and all modifications made to a kit, along with posing of the model. This category isn’t as significant as the others but can give you the extra push to make the win!
Please note your entry may be disqualified/not displayed for the following:
Work which is Offensive/Questionable - model kits must not contain nudity or extreme violence. Any model kit depicting violence or hate against a particular racial, ethnic, or sexual group is prohibited. If you have any questions about if your model kit meets these requirements contact us at Contact@levelupentertainment.com
