HOW DID YOU GET INTO COSPLAY?
It was always a dream of mine to become the heroes I read about and watched on tv . It was always an escape from reality.
WHY DO YOU LIKE COSPLAYING?
Cosplaying for me is a way to escape the normal stresses of life. I like to become the character. It hit that part of the brain that sparks creativity and most of all its fun.
WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS TO COSPLAY SO FAR?
My favorite character to cosplay is Red Hood. I relate to the character from when he was a kid to when he comes back from death. Let’s be honest he has some serious PTSD which I can relate to being a veteran and also having it. The character as a whole is just amazing.
HOW DO YOU PUT TOGETHER YOUR COSTUMES?
Piece by piece lol. I use common things I see online and put it together until it works. Try and try again until it’s the style you feel most confident in then you will become the character everything else comes later.
WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE CONVENTIONS/EVENTS TO COSPLAY AT?
Honestly I love horror cons. I’ve always been an attendee not a participant but I’m finally confident enough in my cosplay to take that next step. I thank everyone who has had my back.
WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE COSPLAY STORIES?
I’m currently working on my own Red Hood story. Hoping to gain traction in due time.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES YOU’VE HAD TO OVERCOME BEING A COSPLAYER?
Probably same as everyone time and money. I’m a father of two amazing children and co own my own Private Securtiy company @eolfpackprivatesecurtiy on Instagram. My weekends are so booked work wise it’s hard but it’s all about finding that balance.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE INTERESTED IN GETTING INTO COSPLAY?
Take your time, remember there will always be haters, and the most important thing of all is to feel confident in yourself and you will know when it clicks you will be like that’s it right there.
WHAT CHARACTER WOULD YOU LOVE TO TACKLE SOMEDAY?
I’m working on my own custom power ranger based on fenrir from Norse mythology. Getting him together is going to be insane.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST COSPLAY ACHIEVEMENT?
My biggest achievement is to just be able to do this at all. Making people smile and spreading positivity.
