Atlantic City comic artist Zack Dolan passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on August 19, 2019. Zack was known for his comics “Super!”, “The Surgeon”, and more published by his comic company Unlikely Heroes Studios. You may also remember him from his many appearances at our events.

Zack was a true friend of the store. He was always up for any kind of collaboration with us. He and the crew from Super! were our first in-store signing event. He did the art for our first Free Comic Book Day print. He did the cover art for our very first store exclusive variant comic. But more than all of that, Zack was our friend.
Zack was a man of convictions and he was passionate about his beliefs. Zack’s moral code was shaped by the superheroes he read and created and fought for fairness and an end to oppression by those in power.
While we will miss Zack he was able to leave behind an incredible body of work and touched many lives of the comic fans in South Jersey (and beyond). If you have any memories of Zack or got any art from him in the past please share it here, because we would love to see it!
